Bill Malm, ND CRCR CMAS – President
Bill is the Managing Director of Health Revenue Integrity Services, and has over 30 years of healthcare experience in both the clinical and revenue cycle venues. He specializes in audit and all payor responses to audit findings As a prior compliance officer for a for profit health system, he incorporates the regulatory aspect into all revenue cycle reviews and remediations. He has previously been adjunct faculty for revenue cycle at a major international university and is a nationally known speaker on all aspects of the revenue cycle. Bill has been a national and regional speaker for HFMA, AHIA, AAMAS, HCPro, AHLA and others. He participates weekly on “Finally Friday” a nationally recognized RAC and Revenue Integrity as the resident “audit expert.”

Leslie G. Trainor, RN BSN CMAS – Treasurer
Leslie G. Trainor, RN, BSN, CMAS is a certified medical audit specialist with more than 20 years experience in the field. She began her career as a contract auditor in a small hospital outside Omaha, Nebraska. Being married to an active duty Air Force officer and experiencing the challenges of traveling the world, she changed her scope of practice and opened her own contracting business. She worked for third party vendors and insurance carriers performing Hospital Bill and HEDIS audits, legal consulting and fraud investigation data collection. She is currently working as a remote clinical auditor for Adreima while she wrangles cattle on her 70 acre ranch in southeast Oklahoma.
Leslie has served the clinical audit profession by participating on a board level for 10 years with the American Association of Medical Audit Specialists (AAMAS) and currently as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Council for Certification of Medical Auditors (CCMA).
Ernie de los Santos, MBA SSA SAC – Marketing/Webmaster
Ernie de los Santos is Faculty Chair and Founder of Appeal Academy, and the popular online talk show, “Finally Friday!”, and TopGun Audit School. He writes regularly for Appeal Academy, and provides marketing strategy and lead generation for vendors and consultants. Before entering the healthcare industry in 2006, he spent over 20 years in research and development of marketing and production, working on projects for Fortune 100 corporations, including Coca-Cola, Kodak, and the International Olympic Committee. Before that, he spent 10 years in B2B sales and marketing for Sony and Panasonic. He holds a BA in Anthropology and Computer Science, and an MBA in Marketing. Ernie is also the creator of The RAC Shadow Agency… which may or may not begin operations again in the near future…
